Introduction
As one of the largest overseas Taiwanese cultural institutions, we use education, art, and community services to let Taiwanese culture flourish on American soil, building a solid foundation of cultural identity for the next generation of Taiwanese Americans.

Our History
The Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is a non-profit organization. In February 1998, the family of Ken John Wang donated the property at the corner of Garvey Avenue and Walnut Grove Avenue in the city of Rosemead to the foundation to to become the future home of the Taiwan Center. Later that year, responding to Mr. Li-Pei Wu's ardent call for action, Southern California Taiwanese Americans held a million dollar fund-raising event to raise money for the establishment of the Taiwan Center. Mr. Li-Pei Wu was then elected to be the first chairperson of the Board of the Foundation.
